The Telusu Kada trailer, which was unveiled today in Hyderabad, has been garnering a lot of response for its unexpected content, especially some of the lines from its male protagonist Varun, played by Siddu Jonnalagadda. At the trailer launch event, Siddu spoke about the seemingly radical nature of the trailer content, while also talking about how his next film Badass will take the radical quotient many levels higher.

Responding to a question from the media about why he chose to portray such a radical character in Telusu Kada, Siddu said, “I am tired of being a soft boy. I think the world doesn’t take too kindly to soft men.” Further speaking about his role in Telusu Kada, Siddu noted, “Being radical is not just about controversial dialogues or masculine demeanor. It comes out of our own life and experiences.” Recalling one of the dialogues from the trailer (which roughly translates to ‘do feelings ever come or go at our whim?’), Siddu added, “There are some feelings and experiences which all of us know, but just make peace with. There are some things which we can’t say in real life, but can express through art.”

Drawing a comparison between Telusu Kada and his next film Badass, Siddu said, “Infact, Badass is many notches above Telusu Kada in its radicality. It’s a film that will shock everyone, and cross all boundaries. It will probably be the darkest film in Telugu cinema.” Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, Badass reunites Siddu with director Ravikanth Perepu, after their previous collaboration Krishna and His Leela which became a sleeper hit.
