SS Rajamouli’s upcoming release Baahubali: The Epic will be screened at standard ticket prices across India and overseas. The news comes as a relief at a time when rising cinema ticket rates have become a major sore point for audiences across languages.

The trend of premium pricing first began with Rajamouli’s own blockbusters, whose grand scale and technical brilliance set new benchmarks for Indian cinema. While audiences were happy to pay extra for that level of spectacle, many producers later followed suit, even for smaller films and star-vehicle films, leading to growing frustration among viewers.

But this time, Rajamouli and his producers have taken a different route. Reports confirm that Baahubali: The Epic will release on October 31 worldwide without any ticket hikes, even in overseas markets where Telugu releases often command higher prices.

The film is a recut and remastered single-edition version that combines Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) into one monumental cinematic experience. Clocking in at over five hours, it promises to be the most visually advanced presentation of the saga yet.

Presented in multiple premium formats including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, D-Box and EpiQ, the film is being touted as the definitive way to relive Rajamouli’s world of Mahishmati, this time with enhanced picture and sound quality, but at regular ticket prices.

Baahubali: The Epic stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, alongside Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works, the film celebrates a decade since Baahubali: The Beginningfirst redefined Indian filmmaking.
