Venky 77, the project starring Venkatesh to be directed by Trivikram, was officially announced in August. On Wednesday, the makers officially confirmed going on the floors.
Naga Vamsi shared the update on his X page, stating, “After 20 long months, the wizard of words Trivikram garu is back behind the camera, joining hands with everyone’s favourite, Victory Venkatesh garu! The OGs of entertainment are back on sets to recreate the magic once again!” It is to be noted that Trivikram’s previous directorial, Guntur Kaaram was produced under Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments. Starring Mahesh Babu, the film did not live upto the mark at box office.
Produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika and Hassine Creations, Venky77 marks the 8th production for the banner. Although other details about the project are yet to be announced, the team is reportedly considering Srinidhi Shetty, who was last seen in Nani starrer Hit 3, for the female lead’s part. The team is also planning to rope in Animal composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar for the project, according to some reports.
The makers are reportedly planning to release their film in Summer 2026.
While Venkatesh never acted in a Trivikram directorial before, Trivikram has served as a writer on several early 2000s Venkatesh movies like Malliswari and Nuvvu Naaku Nachaav.
