On the day of Dussehra, People Media Factory officially announced Raju Gari Gadhi 4: Srichakram, the latest chapter in the popular horror-comedy series that first spooked its way into Telugu cinema back in 2015.
Helmed once more by Ohmkar, the director who has created the franchise into cult territory, Raju Gari Gadhi 4 promises a chilling yet entertaining cocktail of divine mysticism, eerie thrills and sharp humour. The makers have also confirmed a Dussehra 2026 release, ensuring the festival season will have its fair share of goosebumps.
The announcement came with an intriguing poster, a woman draped in a red saree levitates eerily before a multi-armed goddess idol, setting the tone for what the makers are billing as divine horror. The tagline, “A Divine Horror Begins”, hints at a story that merges faith and scares.
Set in the mysterious fictional village of Kaalikapuram, Raju Gari Gadhi 4 is expected to push beyond regular genre tropes into a spiritual thriller laced with humour. “It’s a film designed to connect with both youth and family audiences,” the producers, TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, said in a statement, promising a cinematic experience mounted on a grand scale.
The technical team of Raju Gari Gadhi 4 includes SS Thaman who returns with his trademark high-energy score, Sameer Reddy handles cinematography, Tammiraju takes charge of editing, and Sri Nagendra Tangala oversees production design. Dialogues are penned by Ajju Mahakali.
The Raju Gari Gadhi franchise had its first film, directed by Ohmkar in 2015 and it was a surprise sleeper hit, mixing haunted-house horror with humour. The sequel (2017), also directed by Ohmkar, saw Nagarjuna Akkineni and Samantha Ruth Prabhu take centre stage, adding star power to the brand. The third instalment (2019), again helmed by Ohmkar, continued the franchise’s comedy-horror template with Ashwin Babu in the lead.
