Renowned producer D Suresh Babu, head of Suresh Productions and known for consistently supporting new talent, has now associated himself with the film Patang, which is set for a worldwide release on December 25. After watching the film recently and appreciating the team’s effort, he decided to present it under his Suresh Productions banner.
Patang is described as a comedy sports drama centred on a kite-flying competition. The film is jointly produced by Vijay Shekhar Anne, Sampath Maka, Suresh Kothinti, and Nani Bandreddy, and directed by Praneeth Prattipati.
Preethi Pagadala, Zee Telugu's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa runner-up Pranav Kaushik, and Vamsi Pujith play the lead roles. The film also features several new faces along with well-known singer and actor S P Charan, who plays a key role.
A single titled 'Emosanal Drama' from the film was released by Suresh Babu on Friday during a promotional event. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The younger generation came together to make this film. They invested a significant amount and ensured high-quality output. Nani Bandreddy is a person with great creativity. The camera work and all other aspects are impressive. They spent extensively on the climax—taking over a stadium, staging a kite competition, and filming the final sequences on a grand scale. The film will definitely appeal to everyone. I believe it will surely succeed.”
Producer Nani Bandreddy expressed gratitude, saying that Suresh Babu trusted him and came forward to support the film. “This film, made with a fresh and unique concept, will surely be liked by all,” he said.
