Naga Chaitanya attended the Premante pre-release event to promote the film on Tuesday evening. On the occasion, he spoke highly of producer Jhanvi Narang and lead actor Priyadarshi. Besides the primary cast and crew, filmmaker Sekhar Kammula was present at the event too.
“We all know about Narayan Das Narang — what an empire he built and how much he contributed to the Telugu film industry. His son Sunil Narang expanded that empire, and now the third generation, Jhanvi, has stepped in as a producer. I am very happy for her,” said Naga Chaitanya. He also spoke about one of the happiest moments in his career, recalling, “Love Story happened when Narayan Das Narang garu was alive, and it was produced by his son Sunil. I should thank Sunil for that.” Love Story, directed by Sekhar Kammula, was one of the biggest hit during the COVID era. “That film also introduced me to Sekhar for the first time. It remains one of my happiest experiences in the industry,” Chaitanya added.
On this occasion, Naga Chaitanya revealed how deeply he loves love stories. “I am happy to be here to promote a love story like Premante. I am mad about love stories — I enjoy them both as an actor and as an audience member. After Covid, many believed that only action or universe-based films would work in theatres, and not love stories. But Love Story proved that wrong with its huge success,” he said, adding, “I appreciate director Navneeth Sriram for coming forward with a fresh love story like Premante.”
Later, Naga Chaitanya praised Priyadarshi for his versatility. “I can confidently say Priyadarshi is one of the most versatile actors today. Whether it’s a small or big budget film — romance, comedy, action, horror, or even author-backed roles — he has built a strong career for himself,” said Chaitanya. “As a fellow actor, I truly appreciate your efforts,” he added. The Thandel actor also praised actress Anandi, recalling their collaboration in Custody. “She have a wonderful body of work in both Tamil and Telugu,” Naga Chaitanya added.
