After the success of his heist thriller Lucky Baskhar, Dulquer Salman is seemingly concentrating more on doing Telugu films. A few weeks ago, we had reported about another of his Telugu films, tentatively billed as DQ41, for which shoot has commenced. The film, which is being directed by debutant director Ravi Nelakuditi, also stars Pooja Hegde.
Reportedly, there is another prominent role in the film, for which the makers first approached Naga Shaurya. But according to a source, Naga Sharuya is not doing the film because of financial disagreements. After initially accepting to do this project, Shaurya later opted out. With that sudden development, the makers roped in Dheekshith Shetty of ‘Dasara’ and ‘The Girlfriend’ as the second lead actor. Naga Shaurya, who needs a break, surely missed a big chance here by opting out of this project, says a source close to the actor.
This project was actually supposed to start a long time back when the director first narrated the story to Dulquer. The story revolves around the female lead, and the makers initially wanted to rope in Rashmika Mandanna, but she couldn’t do the project because of being busy with multiple projects.
They, then, signed Pooja Hegde and began the shoot. The source revealed that Pooja Hegde has allotted nearly 80 days for this film. That tells how much her role is prominent in this film.
The shooting is going on in Hyderabad from the last few days onwards. Cherukuri Sudhakar is producing this film under SLV cinemas banner. Ramya Krishnan and Rao Ramesh are also playing key roles in this film.
Apart from DQ41, Dulquer Salman has also signed another film ‘Aakasamlo Oka Tara’ and his multi language film ‘Kaantha’ is hitting the screens soon.
