Ghatikachalam trailer: A youngster struggles with inner darkness in psychological thriller

The official trailer of the psychological horror film Ghatikachalam, featuring Nikhil Devadula in the lead, was unveiled on Friday. The trailer depicts the struggles of an adolescent battling an inner dark force, highlighting his gradual transformation into a troubled individual confronting his family and surroundings. The trailer shows his character slowly getting possessed by a dark spirit called Ghatikachalam. 

Director Amar Kamepalli, known for his earlier film Break Up (2013), billed the film as an emotional and suspenseful horror drama addressing adolescent mental health issues. Devadula, previously seen as a child actor in Baahubali: The Beginning, said at the trailer launch, "I've acted in nearly 70 films as a child artist, but this is my debut as a hero. The role was challenging, as my character’s behaviour changes frequently."

Producer SKN praised Ghatikachalam's engaging narrative, saying, "Within ten minutes, you'll feel pulled into the narrative, as though witnessing real events unfold. The film carries a strong message and is engaging throughout."

The technical team of Ghatikachalam includes cinematographer SS Manoj, editor Srinivas Bainaboyina, and music composer Favio G Cuccurullo. Written by Srinivas Malkar, the film also features Samyu Reddy and Prabhakar in crucial roles. 

Produced by MC Raju, Ghatikachalam is gearing up to release in cinemas on May 31 under Maruthi and SKN’s Mass Movie Makers banner.
