Home Town trailer: A teenager is torn between staying close to home and fulfilling his father’s dreams

The official teaser of Aha’s upcoming original series Home Town was unveiled on Tuesday. Starring Rajeev Kanakala and Jhansi in prominent roles, Home Town promises to be a slice-of-life comedy drama.

Directed by Srikanth Reddy Palle, Home Town tells the story of a middle-class family in a small town struggling between family bonds and big aspirations. Rajeev Kanakala plays a strict yet caring father to Srikanth (Prajwal Yadma), who is an average student, and plans to send him to US for further studies despite his limited financial means. However, Srikanth has other career plans, and more importantly, is reluctant to go that far from his family, his friends, and the one place he knows like the back of his hand. 

The series is presented by Naveen Medaram, who is also credited as the showrunner. Rajashekhar Medaram is producing the series, under the banners of MNOP and Amogha Arts. Annie, Sairam, and Anirudh play supporting roles. Suresh Bobbili is the music director for the series. The cinematography and editing are helmed by Dev and Carthick, respectively. 

Home Town is scheduled for its OTT premiere on April 4.

Prajwal Yadma earned recognition with his performance in Kajal Aggarwal-starrer Satyabhama, where he played a small but impactful role.
