On March 19, the House of Commons of the United Kingdom honoured actor Chiranjeevi. Members of Parliament, ministers, under secretaries, and diplomats welcomed and celebrated him.
Bridge India, a public policy organisation based in the UK, presented Chiranjeevi with their inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public Service through Cultural Leadership.
Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude on social media. "My heart is filled with gratitude for the honor at the House of Commons - UK Parliament by so many esteemed members of Parliament, ministers and under secretaries, and diplomats," he wrote. He also said that "their kind words humbled" him and that he regards the aforesaid award as a heartening achievement.
The actor also stated that the recognition motivates him to keep his humanitarian work going. For the uninitiated, he has a charitable trust and a blood bank in his name.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi's upcoming project is Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy drama with director Mallidi Vassishta and co-star Trisha Krishnan. The film has Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani as part of its technical team.
