Vishwak Sen starrer Laila, which had its theatrical release a few weeks ago, is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The comedy entertainer will begin streaming on AHA from March 7 onwards.
Directed by Ram Narayan, Laila told the story of a popular mechanic Sonu Model (Vishwak Sen) who is compelled to take up a woman’s disguise in order to save his skin from a local goon as well as a vindictive police officer. The Vishwak Sen starrer also marked the debut for its female lead Akanksha Sharma. Leon James composed music for the film that was produced by Sahi Garapati under the Shine Screens.
After the film receive a lot of criticism on social media, Vishwak Sen issued a public statement, saying, “My intention has always been to bring something fresh to the audience, and I deeply respect the feedback I have received. Moving forward, I promise that whether my films are class or mass, they will never cross the line into vulgarity.”
Vishwak Sen’s upcoming films include Funky, to be directed by Jathi Ratnalu fame KV Anudeep. The film was launched in December last year.
