While most reviews agree on the theatrical impact of Prabhas’ cameo and the cinematic value of the final act of the film, there are plenty of reviews criticising it for its 'slow first half' and 'mediocre' VFX work.
Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu under 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments. The film, based on the tale of a devotee of Lord Shiva, is also written by Vishnu.
