
Sekhar Kammula’s social thriller Kuberaa has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in worldwide gross collections by the end of its sixth day in theatres, its lead actor Dhanush revealed. Released on June 20, the film has witnessed consistent box office growth, driven by strong acclaim from critics and audiences.
Kuberaa has collected an estimated Rs 61.25 crore net in India, with Wednesday alone contributing Rs 1.45 crore as per Sacnilk. The film opened with Rs 14.75 crore on Day 1, climbed to Rs 16.5 crore on Saturday, and peaked at Rs 17.35 crore on Sunday. Telugu markets led the domestic performance with Rs 43.1 crore, followed by Tamil with Rs 16.6 crore. Overseas earnings are estimated at Rs 23.5 crore, pushing the total global gross past Rs 100 crore.
Kuberaa follows the story of Deva (played by Dhanush), a homeless man entangled in a high-stakes scam, and Deepak (Nagarjuna), a former CBI officer navigating complex moral terrain. The ensemble cast includes Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in prominent roles.
Kuberaa is produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, and is shot as a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, with versions released in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. With cinematography by Niketh Bommi, music by Devi Sri Prasad, and production design by Thota Tharani, the film is slated to stream on Prime Video post its theatrical run.
