Cinematographer R Rathnavelu has shared an update from the sets of Peddi, the Ram Charan starrer directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Taking to social media, Rathnavelu revealed that a large-scale night action sequence was recently filmed with the lead actor.
“Filmed a terrific night action sequence with gritty visuals. Ram Charan bro breathes fire,” Rathnavelu wrote, along with a still showing Charan in an intense action pose. The image has since gained traction online, fuelling anticipation around the project.
Peddi, a rural action drama, is being helmed by National Award-winning Buchi Babu Sana, known for Uppena. The film is backed by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
The film stars Ram Charan in a rugged avatar, similar in tone to his earlier role in Rangasthalam. Janhvi Kapoor also plays the lead, while the rest of the ensemble cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma. The film’s music is composed by AR Rahman, and editing is by Naveen Nooli. Avinash Kolla is the production designer.
Peddi is scheduled for a global theatrical release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
