On the occasion of Gopichand’s birthday on Thursday, the makers of his upcoming film unveiled a first-look poster and a short teaser, offering a glimpse into what is being billed as a historical epic. Tentatively titled Gopichand 33, the film is directed by Sankalp Reddy and is set against the backdrop of a lesser-known historical event from the 7th century.
Gopichand 33’s teaser opens with visuals of icy mountain ranges and introduces Gopichand in a warrior avatar, long hair, thick beard, and dressed in attire of ancient eastern warriors. A brief sequence shows him bonding with a horse. The visuals suggest a mix of action, introspection, and grand scale.
Gopichand 33 is helmed by Sankalp Reddy, known for his work on The Ghazi Attack, Antariksham, and IB 71. The film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner, with Pavan Kumar presenting.
Gopichand 33’s first schedule was completed in Kashmir earlier this year, and the production has now moved to a large set in Hyderabad for its next phase. Cinematography is by Manikandan S, with production design by Chinna and action choreography by Prudhvi Master. Further casting details are expected to be announced soon.
