The second schedule of Mega157, starring Chiranjeevi and directed by Anil Ravipudi, has officially commenced in Mussoorie. The film is jointly produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under the Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments banners and is slated for a Sankranti 2026 release.
The production team of Mega157 recently wrapped its first schedule in Hyderabad, where Chiranjeevi was part of the shoot. The latest leg of filming will span 10 days in the hill station and will include key scenes featuring Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and VTV Ganesh.
This marks the third collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Godfather. A short promotional video was released ahead of the schedule, featuring Chiranjeevi seated at a table in a school ground, giving a thumbs-up as children run toward him. The clip was accompanied by a background score composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Mega157 is billed to blend elements of humour and emotion, with director Anil Ravipudi revisiting the comic tone often associated with the star's films from the 1990s and 2000s. Ravipudi, who recently delivered the successful festive entertainer Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, has generated anticipation through his promotional strategies for this project.
Mega157’s technical crew includes Sameer Reddy as director of photography, Tammiraju as editor, and AS Prakash handling production design. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with writing credits shared by S. Krishna and G. Adi Narayana.
