Actor Kalpika Ganesh has alleged that she was assaulted by staff members of a Hyderabad club during her birthday celebration. The incident reportedly occurred at Prism Pub in Gachibowli on Tuesday night after a dispute broke out over the club’s policy on outside food.
According to Kalpika, the situation escalated when the staff refused to allow her to bring an outside cake for the occasion. In a video shared by the actor on Instagram, she is seen arguing with the pub manager, who stated that complimentary cakes were not part of their policy. Kalpika responded by saying, “Other clubs I’ve visited before allowed it. I don’t understand this behaviour.”
The confrontation intensified, and the actor alleged that she was mistreated and humiliated. Visibly upset, Kalpika refused to pay the bill, crumpled it, and threw it away. The video also captures her accusing the staff of unprofessional and aggressive behaviour.
Following the incident, Kalpika approached the Gachibowli police station and lodged a formal complaint. The Hyderabad police have confirmed that a case has been registered and the matter is under investigation.
In her Instagram post, Kalpika criticised the management and wrote, “One of the worst management even on Google, all reviews suck coz of their inhumanity. Mr K. Narsimulu and Mr Yezas Baba from Gachibowli police station were even worse than the people of the Prism,” expressing dissatisfaction with the police handling of the situation as well.
As of now, Prism Pub has not issued any public statement in response to the allegations.
Kalpika Ganesh made her acting debut in 2009 with Prayanam and has appeared in films such as Sarocharu, HIT: The First Case, and Yashoda.
