Just days before its scheduled release on July 24, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the much-anticipated historical action film starring Pawan Kalyan, has encountered fresh complications as per latest reports. A formal complaint has been lodged against the film’s producer AM Rathnam with the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce, citing pending dues related to earlier film projects.

Asian Enterprises has filed a complaint for recovery of Rs 2.60 crore, which they claim is a refundable advance paid for Rathnam’s 2017 film Oxygen. In a separate filing, Mahalaxmi Films has sought recovery of Rs 90 lakh related to Muddula Koduku (2005) and Bangaram (2006). The Chamber has since requested HHVM’s distributors to cooperate in the matter and help facilitate the recovery of dues before the film’s release in the Nizam region.

Whether the issue escalates into legal attempts to stall the film’s release remains uncertain. Given Pawan Kalyan's dual jobs as an actor and the current Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, any delay could attract political and public scrutiny.

Directed by AM Jyothi Krisna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a historical epic set during the Mughal era. The film features Pawan Kalyan as Veera Mallu, a rebel turned folk hero, with Bobby Deol portraying Emperor Aurangzeb. With music by MM Keeravani and extensive visual effects, the project has been in production for over three years and marks a major theatrical comeback for the actor.
