Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’s Telugu remake gets an official title and release date

We had earlier reported that Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rabba are playing the lead roles in the Telugu remake of 2022 Malayalam film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. On Saturday, the team announced the title of their film, also setting a release date.

Now titled Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, the film will hit theatres on August 1. The dark comedy will mark the directorial debut for AR Sajeev.

The makers also released a new concept poster and an animated teaser on the occasion, encapsulating the central theme of the film where, after capturing the idyllic nature of the setting, the teaser concludes on a boisterous note as the  resilient housewife decides to retaliate against her abusive husband. The original featured Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran in the leads.

S Originals and Movie Verse Studios are jointly bankrolling the project. A large part of the film’s shooting took place in Rajahmundry earlier this year.

The supporting cast of Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi includes actors like Brahmaji among others. Jay Krish is the music director for the project, while Deepak Yeragara handled the cinematography. Additionally, 35 - Chinna Katha Kaadu filmmaker Nandakishore Emani has penned the dialogues for the film.

Eesha Rabba’s upcoming projects include the second season of Three Roses, which will begin streaming on Aha later this year.
