The makers of Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi starrer Thandel organised a special ceremony on Friday in Mumbai to launch the Hindi trailer of their film. Among others, the event was attended by Aamir Khan, who has worked with Naga Chaitanya in his 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha. On the occasion, Thandel director Chandoo Mondeti expressed his admiration of the actor, also expressing a desire to assist him.
Addressing the media, Chandoo Mondeti said, “More than my film’s trailer launch, I am excited to share stage with you on this occasion.” Later, calling Aamir an ‘encyclopaedia of cinema,’ Chandoo added, “I have a sincere request to Aamir sir — I want to assist you for 6 months. And after assisting, I will narrate a story to you.”
Incidentally, February 7 also marks the release of Loveyapa, the sophomore film for Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, who made his debut last year with Maharaj. Acknowledging the actor’s humility, Thandel producer Allu Aravind said at the event, “I just called him with slight embarrassment because his son’s film was releasing on the same date. and said, ‘The only Hindi superstar I have known and made films with is you. So can i invite you for the trailer launch?’ He said, ‘Both the films will run, don’t worry. I am coming.’”
Is it to be noted that Allu Aravind was the presenter of Aamir Khan’s 2008 blockbuster Ghajini, who became the first Hindi film to enter the 100 crore club.
Meanwhile, the promotions of Thandel will continue in Hyderabad, with Allu Arjun slated to make an appearance at a promotional event for the film on Saturday.
