Pushpa 2: The Rule started streaming on Netflix from Thursday at wee hours. As we reported earlier, makers of the film have dropped the full version of the film including the recently added 20 minutes footage. The gangster thriller, which released on December 5, became a landmark film in both Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s careers. The film even completed its 50-day run in theatres.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sreeleela, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj among others. The much-hyped sequel has grossed Rs 1740 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk, becoming one of India’s highest-grossing films behind Dangal.
Building on the phenomenal success of Pushpa: The Rise (2019), the sequel takes the saga of Pushpa Raj to new heights as he makes newer enemies added to his past ones. The film’s technical crew has music by Devi Sri Prasad and stunning visuals by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek.
Meanwhile, the script work for Allu Arjun’s next is being completed. Trivikram Srinivas is set to helm the pan-Indian socio-fantasy film. Reports suggest the film is titled God of War, which is based on Lord Kartikeya and his relationship with his father, Lord Shiva.
