SSMB29, the much-anticipated film collaboration between SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu, has been a long time in the news. Recently, it was reported that the makers are in talks with Priyanka Chopra to play the female lead in the film that’s billed as an action-adventure. Amidst the many speculations about his film, Rajamouli shared a humorous Instagram post about his film that’s now gone viral.
In his new Instagram post, SS Rajamouli can be seen standing against a caged-up lion, before he gradually lifts up a passport, suggesting that he has locked up the lion until he finishes shooting for his film. It is to be noted that a few months ago, Rajamouli used the image of the same lion, named Bob Jr, to make a post hinting about his film with Mahesh Babu, who is fondly known as Bob among his fandom.
To make matters further interesting, Mahesh Babu commented under SS Rajamouli’s post, posting one of his iconic dialogues from 2006 blockbuster Pokiri, which read, “Okkasaari commit ayithe naa maata nene vinanu….” (Once I commit to something, I don’t even pay heed to my own words).
Rajamouli’s Instagram post has already gone viral, inspiring countless memes on social media and increasing speculations about the movie. Within 24 hours, the post has already become the 3rd most-liked post on Rajamouli’s Instagram page, garnering over 1.3 million likes already.
The film was reported to be officially announced earlier this month. However, the makers are yet to provide any further clarity on their timelines, in terms of release date or other updates.
