After the makers of Daaku Maharaaj released the film’s third single ‘Dabidi Dibidi,’ there’s been a lot of trolling on social media for its choreography. When actor and film critic Kamaal R Khan pointed out the same, actor Urvashi Rautela slammed his post and wrote, “It’s ironic how some who’ve achieved nothing feel entitled to criticize those who work tirelessly. Real power isn’t in tearing others down, it's in lifting them up and inspiring greatness.”
The dance number features Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela shaking legs with a few tongue-in-cheek movements choreographed by Shekhar Master. Kamaal R Khan’s original poster said, “Telugu film industry people don’t feel ashamed to shoot such vulgar songs? So better start to make porn films instead. Urvashi also should be ashamed for doing such song.”
Directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj introduces Balakrishna in the role of a dacoit. The trailer hints at an intriguing narrative, showcasing a landscape dominated by rulers and villains, with Balakrishna’s character harboring an epic backstory.
Daaku Maharaaj’s cast also stars Bobby Deol as the antagonist, alongside Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal, and Chandni Chowdhary. Produced by Suryadevara Nagavamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane.
Daaku Maharaaj is slated for a January 12 release in theatres.
