Sai Dharam Tej, cousin of Ram Charan, took to X (formerly Twitter) to give a shoutout to Game Changer, and praised his performance. He wrote, “So far, my favourite performances of yours have been Harsha, Kalabhairava (Magadheera), Ram (Orange), Chittibabu (Rangasthalam), Alluri Sitharamaraju (RRR) and now undoubtedly, it’s “Appanna” you have nailed it.” Further highlighting his ‘dedication’ to the film, he wrote, “kudos to your dedication and commitment to bring this character to life, it was like a dream to watch you perform and could take some notes down from your portrayal of “Appanna” …you have grown to be a full-fledged mature actor, kudos and thanks to Shankar sir for having utmost trust in you to play the part.”

Game Changer released on January 10 in pan-Indian languages The film stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Directed by Shankar, the film features Ram Charan in dual roles as a father and son and is described as a political thriller. The trailer highlights a power struggle between Ram Charan’s IAS officer character and SJ Suryah’s portrayal of a politician. The ensemble cast includes Srikanth, Anjali, Samuthirakani, and Sunil, among others. The film has music by S Thaman.
