As we reported earlier, Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, the daughter of director Sukumar, is set to make her acting debut with Gandhi Tatha Chettu. On Thursday, the film’s trailer was unveiled by Mahesh Babu.
The trailer depicts a pleasant narration of a village story where Sukriti plays a little girl uniquely named Gandhi. A diabolical corporation tries to grab land in the village where Gandhi’s grandfather’s sacred tree resides. How she puts up a fight against the Goliath with Gandhian principles taught by her grandfather forms the plot. The beautiful, naturalistic sound design by Nagarjuna Thalapalli and Shyamal Sikdar is attractive in the trailer.
Mahesh Babu launched the trailer and wrote. “Looks heartwarming and deeply touching.”
Gandhi Tatha Chettu, directed by Padmavathi Malladi, is scheduled for theatrical release on January 24. Jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies, the film additionally has Anand Chakrapani, Raghu Ram, Bhanu Prakash, Nehal Anand Kumkuma, and Rag Mayur in key roles. The film’s music is composed by Ree.
