The makers of Kannappa released their first single on Monday. The upcoming fantasy drama stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role.

Composed by Stephen Devassy, ‘Shiva Shiva Shankaraa’ is an overwhelming and heartfelt ode to the might of Lord Shiva, penned from the perspective of a staunch devotee who sees the deity in everything and everywhere around him. Ramajogayya Sastry has penned the lyrics, and Vijay Prakash has served as the playback singer. The song video, featuring Vishnu Manchu and Preity Mukundhan, is choreographed by Prabhu Dheva and shot at picturesque locales in Newzealand.

The devotional song has also been released in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa has a stellar ensemble cast comprising of names like Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohan Babu, Madhoo, Kajal Aggarwal and Sarathkumar. Vishnu himself has penned the story and screenplay for the film, while his father is the producer, besides playing a prominent role in the film.

Produced under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments, the film is slated for a theatrical release on April 25 this year.
