

On Friday, Chiranjeevi was inducted as a member of the Advisory Board for the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES). Prime Minister Narendra Modi appointed the Vishwambhara actor on the committee, also partaking in a virtual interaction with all the board members on Friday. The committee includes prominent film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Mohanlal, Rajnikanth, Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone.
Sharing details of the meeting, PM Modi later posted on his X page, “Just concluded an extensive meeting of the Advisory Board of WAVES, the global summit that brings together the world of entertainment, creativity, and culture. The members not only reiterated their support but also shared valuable inputs on how to further enhance our efforts to make India a global entertainment hub.”
Extending his gratitude to PM Modi, Chiranjeevi later penned on his X page, “Thank you Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for this honour. I have no doubt that WAVES, the brainchild of Shri Modi ji, will propel India’s ‘SOFT POWER’ to its deserving heights on the global stage.”
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi awaits the release of his big-scale fantasy film Vishwambhara. Currently, the makers are busy wrapping up the extensive VFX work for their film. Reportedly, the makers are aiming to release the film in June this year.
