The makers of Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Jack unveiled the film’s first teaser on Friday. The teaser features Siddhu’s character being introduced with reference to Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s character asks him about his job. We see him do multiple shenanigans that hint that he might be a spy or a detective. But the teaser doesn’t confirm. The film promises a good dose of humour in classic Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Hyderabadi style with some great complementing by actor Naresh.
Jack, directed by Bommarillu Baskar, is releasing on April 10. The film is clashing with Prabhas starrer horror-comedy, The Raja Saab at the box office. But the reports suggest that the Prabhas starrer might be pushed for a Dussehra release.
Expectations are high on this film as Siddhu Jonnalagadda is coming back to screens after his previous comedy films, DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, both of which saw Siddhu play the same titular character. Audiences are looking forward to seeing Siddhu in a new light, especially in the direction of Bommarillu Baskhar who helmed classics like Bommarillu and Orange.
Jack’s technical crew has cinematography by Vijay K Chakravarthy, production design by Avinash Kolla and editing by National Award winner Navin Nooli. Jack is bankrolled by BVSN Prasad under the banner of SVCC. Siddu Jonnalagadda also has Telusu Kada, directed by Neeraja Kona and produced by People Media Factory, in the pipeline.
