After many years, Aadi Saikumar has finally tasted success with Shambhala. The film, which released on December 25, features Aadi in the lead role, while Archana Iyer plays another key character. Directed by Ugandhar Muni, the film is produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajasekhar Annabhemoju. After taking a slow start, Shambhala consistently improved in its collections over the following days.
To celebrate the success, the makers organised a success meet on Monday, which was attended by several Tollywood celebrities. Top producer Allu Aravind, noted directors Vassishta and Bobby, young actor Sundeep Kishan, and popular writer Kona Venkat attended the event to support Aadi and the film’s team.
Speaking at the event, Allu Aravind recalled his family’s long-standing bond with Aadi’s family. “My father Allu Ramalingaiah garu and Sai Kumar garu’s father PJ Sharma garu were close friends. Our families share a three-generation bond. As a father, I can understand the joy of seeing your son succeed,” he said, explaining why he made it a point to attend the event.
Praising the film, Allu Aravind said, “Even though success came a little later, Aadi performed wonderfully and achieved it. I hope he continues to grow by choosing good roles. Archana Iyer portrayed her character beautifully, and Baby Chaitra impressed with her emotions. Ugandhar Muni has done a commendable job directing Shambhala. Congratulations to the producers for trusting this story and the director.”
Thanking everyone who attended the success meet, Aadi Saikumar expressed his gratitude to the industry for standing by him. “I must thank Allu Aravind garu, who came immediately after watching the film. Many people supported me throughout this journey. Not only did Prabhas garu share our trailer, he also called it a blockbuster,” said Aadi.
He credited director Ugandhar Muni for his dedication, saying the filmmaker worked tirelessly on the project for nearly two years. “I look forward to working with this team again. Special thanks to Archana garu and every actor who contributed to this film,” he added. Aadi also praised music director Sricharan Pakala for his hard work, saying he worked sleepless nights on the music. “I hope the audience continues to support good films. Going forward, you will see a new Aadi, making quality films with greater care,” he said.
Aadi’s father, actor Sai Kumar, said he was proud of his son’s achievement. “Aadi has worked hard since his debut film Prema Kavali and truly deserves this success,” he said.
Directors Bobby and Vassishta too spoke highly of Aadi’s performance and appreciated director Ugandhar Muni’s work. Sundeep Kishan said that Aadi earned this success through hard work and integrity. Writer Kona Venkat described Shambhala as a 'divine blockbuster.'
Distributor Mythri Sashi, who acquired the film’s distribution rights, revealed that Aadi personally insisted they take up the film. “Director Ugandhar deserves more opportunities, and I hope the producers continue to collaborate with him and deliver more hits. Even Prabhas supports good cinema,” he said. Sashi added that the film’s second-week collections surpassed the first week, indicating that Shambhala is heading towards becoming a major blockbuster.
