Known for backing strong content, Ramesh Varma has launched RV Film House with the aim of creating opportunities for emerging filmmakers. The banner’s first project, Kokkoroko, is an anthology film that revolves around five distinct characters. The film marks the directorial debut of Srinivas Vasanthala, who Varma believes has a fresh and compelling storytelling voice.
The makers recently completed the film’s shooting schedule and announced the update with a striking poster. Ramesh Varma identified Srinivas Vasanthala’s potential early on and entrusted him with this ambitious project. The debutant director is expected to present a unique cinematic experience, combining strong visuals with emotional depth.
Adding to the film’s interesting lineup, the dialogues are penned by popular playback singer GV Sagar. Son of veteran screenwriter G Satyamurthy and brother of music director Devi Sri Prasad, GV Sagar continues his father’s legacy with this being his second outing as a writer after Rakshasudu. Music for the film is composed by Sankeerthan, a London-based musician making his mark in Telugu cinema.
Kokkoroko is produced by Rekha Varma and Kurapati Sireesha, with Neelladri Production coming on board as the co-producer. Ramesh Varma has also written the story and screenplay, promising a tightly woven and engaging narrative. Featuring a blend of new and experienced talent, the film is slated for a theatrical release in 2026.
