The official teaser of the much-awaited romantic action-thriller Dacoit, which stars Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead, was unveiled on Thursday morning. The team will be present in Hyderabad later today to interact with the media.
It’s a clever cut teaser here by Dacoit team. The makers give nothing away, and yet establish the overall vibe of the film that is largely driven by high-stakes, thrills, and a sense of swag amidst all the high-stakes. What adds to the fun element is the use of techno-remix version of ‘Kannupattero Kannukottaro’, the popular song from Nagarjuna starrer Hello Brother.
While Adivi Sesh plays the titular role, it’s hard to gauge more about Mrunal Thakur’s character. Meanwhile, the teaser also establishes other key actors in the film, including Anurag Kashyap who plays the antagonist, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, and Sunil.
Dacoit is directed by Shaneil Deo, and bankrolled under SS Creations and Suniel Narang Production banners. Shaneil has penned the screenplay in collaboration with Adivi Sesh. Abburi Ravi has been credited for script guidance and Telugu dialogues.
In the technical team, Danush Bhaskar is the cinematographer and Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor. Action is choreographed by A Vijay , Naba, Maibam Nabakanta, and King Solomon. Other key technicians include costume designer Rekha Boggarapu and background score composer Gyaani.
As of now, Dacoit has been scheduled for March 19, 2026 release. Billed as a bilingual, the film will release in Hindi and Telugu.
Besides Dacoit, Adivi Sesh has another big release coming up next year with G2, sequel to Goodachari, which also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and is slated for May release.
