Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is widely known for his powerful dialogue delivery and intense performances. He also surprised audiences by turning singer with the popular song 'Mama Ek Peg La' from Paisa Vasool, directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film was released in 2017, and since then, Balakrishna has not sung for any movie, although he has occasionally sung a few lines at public events.
Now, after a long gap, Balakrishna is set to sing once again for his upcoming film directed by Gopichand Malineni. The film is tentatively titled NBK11, with Thaman composing the music. Notably, Thaman has composed music for six Balakrishna films, including the recently released Akhanda 2, which hit screens on December 12.
Speaking to the media, Thaman confirmed that Balakrishna will be singing a song in NBK11. “Balakrishna garu is a very good singer. We are planning a song for him in this film, which is a period drama,” said Thaman.
He also hinted at the nature of the song, revealing that the film has a strong historical backdrop. “The song will be on the lines of 'Saahore Baahubali' from Baahubali,” he added.
It is also being reported that Balakrishna will be seen in dual roles in the film. Nayanthara is playing the female lead, while Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing the project.
