Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s fantasy action drama Vrusshabha is set to hit the screens on December 25. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film’s Telugu version will also release on the same date. Prestigious distribution house Geetha Film Distributors, known for releasing blockbuster films such as Kantara, Viduthalai, Chaava, and Mahavatar Narasimha in Telugu, has acquired the distribution rights for Vrusshabha.
The production house shared the update on their X page today. Announcing the news, the makers unveiled a striking poster featuring Mohanlal in two contrasting looks. Geetha Film Distributors is planning a grand theatrical release for the film across Telugu states.
With their involvement in the film, the anticipation around the film's Telugu released has reached new heights. This period fantasy drama promises audiences a grand cinematic spectacle, narrating an epic saga of love, destiny, and is positioned as an action epic that blends intense drama, powerful emotions, and large-scale visuals, while centering on the deeply moving relationship between a father and son.
Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, with dubbed versions in Hindi and Kannada, Vrusshabha is shaping up to be one of the most memorable cinematic events of 2025.
The previously released teaser introduced Mohanlal in a commanding avatar as a warrior king, carrying the powerful line: “When destiny calls, blood must answer.”
Apart from Mohanlal, the film stars Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, and Nayan Sarika in key roles, along with a strong ensemble cast, details of which will be announced soon. The music is composed by Sam CS, with sound design by Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty.
