Muralikanth makes his directorial debut with Dhandoraa, which is set to hit screens on December 25. The film features an ensemble cast including Sivaji, Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Mounica, Manika, and several others. The film is produced by Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni, who earlier backed the National Award-winning Colour Photo.

As part of the film’s promotions, the makers released the title song of Dhandoraa on Saturday. Penned by Kasarla Shyam and composed by Mark K Robin, the song stands out for its raw emotion and strong lyrical content. Anthony Daasan, known for his commanding folk voice, lends great depth and intensity to the track. Music director Mark K Robin also gave his voice in between.

Set against a complete rural backdrop, the lyrics perfectly capture the soul of the film. More than anything, Daasan’s voice elevates the song, bringing out the seriousness and emotional weight embedded in the words.

Actors Sivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, and others spoke highly about the film, revealing that the story revolves around a death and touches upon the sensitive issue of honour killing. The director presents this serious subject in an engaging and impactful manner. Though the story is fictional, it draws inspiration from real incidents that occurred in parts of Telangana and Hyderabad.

Lines like ‘Chandurini painaa aduge peduthunna, oori chivaraney uri nakenaa’ reflect the core theme of the film — while humanity reaches the moon, social divisions in villages continue to persist. Filled with such meaningful lines, the Dhandoraa title song stands out as one of the most powerful and thought-provoking tracks in recent times.
