The official teaser of the upcoming comedy-drama Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi was unveiled at a grand ceremony on Monday in Hyderabad. The film's primary team, including lead actors Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba, was present at the event. The film is an official remake of the iconic Malayalam film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022).

Addressing the subject of why their film remains unique, Tharun Bhascker said, “People might ask, why watch a remake? Let’s address that first. There is a distinct use of the Godari culture and accent in this film. We shot this film in Rajahmundry mid-summer, and the use of people, food, and ambience stands out. It’s a cinematic experience in itself, a rare such film in these times.”

Tharun Bhascker also recalled the example of the Malayalam film Vijay Superum Pornamiyum, which was a remake of his pathbreaking 2016 film, Pelli Choopulu. He said, “It ran for 100 days and won many awards. So what matters is honesty — and that will reflect in our film too.”

The film is directed by debutant AR Sajeev and produced by Srujan Yarabolu.  Speaking about her working experience, Eesha said, “I have known Srujan for many years. He was always keen on making ‘good, quality cinema.” Talking about their director, AR Sajeev, Eesha noted, “It won’t feel like a newcomer has made this film. Sajeev was always well-prepared and even stubborn at times. But watching the output, we realised why he was stubborn.”

Talking about her association with Tharun Bhascker, Eesha recalled, “Mohana Krishna Indraganti sir always told me, ‘You should work with Tharun Bhascker.' I hope he soon directs me in a film too.”
