Samantha Ruth Prabhu and writer-filmmaker Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on December 1 at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. Their wedding photos are still circulating on social media, and the couple appears to be enjoying their newly married life. Meanwhile, public attention has shifted to Raj Nidimoru’s former wife, Shyyamali De, who now finds herself in spotlight in every story about Samantha-Raj's wedding.
On Thursday, days after Raj and Samantha’s wedding, Shyyamali shared a series of posts on her Instagram Stories. She stated clearly that she will not be giving interviews or sharing any breaking news. She also clarified that she does not have a PR team and manages her Instagram account entirely on her own.
“I have no PR team, no staff, no associates managing my page. I am personally responding while dealing with something that needs my full presence,” Shyyamali wrote. She went on to reveal that her spiritual mentor has been diagnosed with cancer, and she is currently focused on praying for his recovery, requesting peace and understanding from the public.
“On 9 November, my Jyotish Guru was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, which has unfortunately metastasized to multiple parts of the body, including the brain. I hope you understand where my attention must be right now. So, a humble request: please keep this space clean,” she said. Shyyamali added, “I spent sleepless nights, tossing and turning, and realised it would be ungrateful and churlish not to acknowledge all the good that is coming to me.”
Shyyamali made it clear that she is not seeking interviews, brand promotions, or sympathy. “Anyone looking for drama or breaking news—you won’t find it here. I urge you to leave. I’m not looking for attention, media coverage, exclusive interviews, brand promotions, paid partnerships, or sympathy. I’m not trying to sell anything to anyone,” she concluded.
It is to be noted that according to many reports, Raj and Shyyamali separated officially in 2022. However, neither of the two have commented on or confirmed the same.
