The makers of Nara Rohith's Sundarakanda announced that the trailer will be out on August 11 at 05:02 PM. To announce the date, the team shared a promotional video featuring comedian Satya in conversation with the film’s director, Venkatesh Nimmalapudi. The light-hearted exchange pokes fun at the delay in unveiling the trailer, with Satya ribbing the director about the tight timeline before release day.
Marking the directorial debut of Venkatesh Nimmalapudi, Sundarakanda follows the story of Sidharth, a neurotic yet endearing middle-aged bachelor as he navigates love and companionship across two distinct phases of his life. The narrative blends humour with the emotional beats of second chances, with Vriti Vaghani and Sri Devi Vijay Kumar playing the female leads opposite Rohith.
Produced under Sandeep Picture Palace (SPP) by Santhosh Chinnapolla, Gowtham Reddy, and Rakesh Mahankalli, Sundarakanda is set for its theatrical release on August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi.
Sundarakanda’s music is composed by Leon James, with cinematography by Pradeesh M Varma, editing by Rohan Chillale, and art direction by Rajesh Pentakota. The supporting cast includes Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Vasuki Anand, Satya, Ajay, VTV Ganesh, Abhinav Gomatam, Viswant, Rupa Lakshmi, Sunaina, and Raghu Babu.
Nara Rohith was last seen in Bellamkonda Sreenivas starrer Bhairavam and this film marks his return to the big screen as lead.
