The first single from Dhanush and Nagarjuna starrer Kuberaa, the upcoming pan-India the film directed by Sekhar Kammula, is scheduled for release on April 20. The makers confirmed the date on Monday, and a promo offering further details about the song will be released on April 15.
The track in Kuberaa marks the first collaboration between National Award-winning director Sekhar Kammula and music composer Devi Sri Prasad. The song is billed to be a high-energy dance number. A poster released with the announcement features Dhanush in a celebratory setting, surrounded by a large crowd in a festive mood.
Kuberaa stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh in lead roles. Touted as a social thriller, the film is set against the backdrop of Mumbai and follows multiple characters across intertwining storylines. A teaser released earlier this year hinted at Dhanush’s character undergoing a stark transformation, from a man in poverty to an influential figure standing in front of a temple in a contrasting avatar.
Kuberaa is being shot in both Telugu and Tamil and will be released in five languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigo Creations, Kubera is set for a theatrical release on June 20. The technical team includes cinematographer Niketh Bommi, editor Karthika Srinivas, and production designer Thota Tharani.
