HIT: The Third Case’s action packed trailer was unveiled on Monday. Nani plays Arjun Sarkaar, a ruthless cop in the Homicide Investigation Team. His character is shown to have a clear mindset, which is displayed in the trailer’s opening dialogue, “Criminals should either face justice through arrest or be eliminated but they have no place in the free world without behavioural correction.”

The trailer establishes that a nine-month-old baby’s life is on the line. As he investigates the dreaded case, he finds himself in a situation where he has to extract the baby and many other victims who are caged in a criminal's den. The film promises to have gore and violence, which is a first-time for Nani. Reports suggest that HIT 3 might be the most violent Telugu film to date. The censor formalities for the film are underway, but the makers have hinted that it's an A-certificate film.

HIT 3, written and directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, is gearing up for release on May 1. Speaking at the trailer launch event held in Vizag, Nani said, “The ones who say that Nani should do action films, come to the theatres on May 1. But the rest, be cautious.”

HIT 3’s cast also includes Srinidhi Shetty. Mickey J Meyer composed the music, Sanu John Varghese handled cinematography, and Karthika Srinivas took care of the editing. Nani was last seen in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. The actor has been trying to break out of his family-audience image with the recent streak of action films. He also has Srikanth Odela’s The Paradise in the pipeline, which is also in the action genre.
