'Andala Chandamama' from Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is a catchy homage to old-school love songs

The Pradeep Machiraju starrer Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is scheduled to hit theatres on April 11. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers released a special promotional song, titled ‘Andala Chandamama.’

In complete contrast to the film’s rural and rustic backdrop, ‘Andala Chandamama’ is shot with glossy production values and a swanky vibe overall. Besides the film’s lead pair—Pradeep Machiraju and Deepika Pilli—the song video also features Getup Srinu in a goofy avatar. 

Composed by Radhan, the song itself is a quirky number, parodying an old-fashioned love song, with a blend of folkish yet groovy beats. MA Soma Sekhar has penned the lyrics as well as lent his vocals for the main melody. Meanwhile, the rap lyrics and vocals are by Mellow The Chef.

Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is directed by popular TV director duo Nitin-Bharath, and produced under the banner of Monks & Monkeys Pictures. The upcoming romantic comedy also features Vennela Kishore, Satya, Muralidhar Goud, G M Sundar, John Vijay, Rohini, and Jhansi in the ensemble cast. MN Balreddy is the cinematography, and Peekay helms the editing.
