We had previously reported that the Sundeep Kishan starrer Ooru Peru Bhairavakona will be hitting theatres on February 9. The makers of the film have now announced on Tuesday that they are postponing the film by a week, thus releasing it on February 16. The decision to postpone the film emerged from the film's team paying heed to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, which had promised a solo release date to the makers of Eagle during Sankranti. Eagle is now hitting theatres on February 9. The only other film releasing on February 9, as of now, is Yatra 2.
The announcement came with a new poster, which features Sundeep Kishan, and the film's two female leads Kavya Thapar and Varsha Bollamma together. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, a magical fantasy film, is written and directed by VI Anand. Anand had previously directed Appuchi Gramam (2014), Tiger (2015), Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (2016), Okka Kshanam (2017) and Disco Raja(2020).
Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is produced by Razesh Danda and presented by Anil Sunkara under the banners AK Entertainments and Hasya Movies. Shekar Chandra has composed the film's music, with cinematography by Raj Thota and editing by Chota K Prasad.
