Director Shankar Shanmugham is coming with Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, which is set for a Christmas release. The director spoke with music composer SS Thaman about various aspects of the upcoming second single, ‘Ra Macha Macha', which is set to be Ram Charan’s introductory song in the film.

The Mudhalvan filmmaker revealed that the song features various indigenous and unknown dance forms of South India and Odisha. He shared with SS Thaman, “Although I wanted an intro song for Ram Charan, how far can we make it fresh was the discussion I had with you. I did some research into various musical cultures of Andhra Pradesh and found these interesting; Gussadi, Kommukoya, and Tappeta Gullu from Andhra Pradesh. Apart from these, I also wanted to include some more dance indigenous cultures, and I found Ranapa and Paika from Odisha, Ghumra, Goravara, and Hallaki from Karnataka, and Chau from West Bengal. I wanted all these cultures represented well in the song.”

The composer for the film, Thaman, said that he spent two days exclusively recording each culture’s music separately, and he further mentioned, “I think this is the first time ever having a song with so many cultures. And the song has 1000 dancers featuring in it. I feel once the song comes out, people will enjoy, dance and also celebrate Andhra Pradesh’s rich musical culture.”

Further talking about the dance of the song, the director iterated, “Ram Charan is a very good dancer. Ganesh Acharya choreographed the song. Ram Charan danced in a single shot for a whole music bit in the song. The music is so good and with the inclusion of many cultures in one song, I think this will be a treat for Ram Charan’s fans. And I should also give special mention to Ananth Sriram, the lyricist of the song.”

Game Changer is produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. The second single, ‘Ra Macha Macha,’ is set to release on September 30, while the makers are going to unveil a promo on Saturday. The song is simultaneously titled, 'Dam Tu Dikhaja' in Hindi.
