Producer Naga Vamsi of Sitara Entertainments backed Jr NTR starrer Devara: Part 1 as the distributor for Nizam. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the ongoing fan wars on the platform regarding stars and their popularity. The fan wars and the discourse has been ongoing for the last few years and gets more intense whenever there is a major star-driven film release.
Naga Vamsi urged fans to stop engaging in toxic wars and stir negativity about cinema. He wrote, “Stop creating these unnecessary fan wars. Due to this we are only inviting negativity on our film. It might give some temporary kick, but later it is affecting our heroes' films only. So requesting all our co-fans please let's stop these fan wars & enjoy this euphoria. With this film at least, let’s take an oath to stop these fan wars on social media.”
He further urged netizens to stop capturing and posting videos of films during screening. He added that the act spoils excitement for other moviegoers and dampens a film’s success. Devara is Jr NTR’s second collaboration with Koratala Siva, following the 2016 film Janatha Garage. The film, backed by Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, is coming to the screens on September 27 and the film marks Jr NTR’s solo film after six years.
