AP govt approves price hikes for Devara; Naga Vamsi pens gratitude note

Devara: Part 1, the much-anticipated Jr NTR starrer action spectacle, is gearing up for a massive worldwide release on September 27. Ahead of the film’s release, the Andhra Pradesh government approved price hike for the Devara producers for the first two weeks. Eminent film producer S Naga Vamsi, who has acquired the distribution rights for the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, took to his X page to thank the AP govt for the same. 

The Tillu Square producer posted, “We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government of AP, Deputy CM Shri Pawan Kalyan garu and Cinematography Minister Shri Kandula Durgeh garu for prompt and immediate response for our request to give ticket price hikes and extra shows.” The producer further thanked them for their support, which will enhance their ‘commitment to bring many more memorable theatrical experiences to audiences.’ In a separate post, Naga Vamsi also thanked AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party General Secretary Lokesh Nara for their support.

The AP govt approved a hike of Rs. 110 and Rs. 60 above the existing ticket prices, for the single screens. Meanwhile, for the multiplex shows, the approved price hike is Rs. 135 above the existing prices.

Directed by Koratala Siva and produced by NTR Arts and Yavasudha Arts, Devara: Part 1 also features Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in prominent roles, marking their Telugu cinema debut.
