Choreographer Shaik Jani, who goes by Jani Master in the film industry, was nabbed by Cyberabad police on Thursday in Bengaluru. The Cyberabad police were on the lookout for him since Sunday after a case was registered against him for threatening and sexually assaulting an assistant choreographer.
As we had reported earlier, a woman registered a zero FIR against Jani at the Raidurgam police and transferred the same to Narsingi police station, under whose jurisdiction the woman’s residence falls. Jani Master was booked under clause (2) and (n) of section 376 (rape), criminal intimidation (506) and voluntarily causing hurt (323) of the IPC, said the police.
Choreographer Jani is famous for his work in Telugu films and is noted for his close association with actors Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. Jani last worked in Rajinikanth’s Jailer. He recently won the National Award for his work in the song 'Megam Karukkatha' from Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam.
