Roshan Kanakala, who made his debut last year with the romantic drama Bubble Gum, will be seen playing the titular role in the upcoming film Mowgli. The makers of the film released a title poster on Saturday, on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi.
Mowgli is written and directed by Sandeep Raj, who gained recognition with his 2020 debut Colour Photo, which also put Suhas on the Telugu cinema map. The first look poster features Roshan Kanakala with his horse in the middle of a dense forest. According to a press release shared by the makers, Mowgli is a contemporary love story set against a forest backdrop.
Kaala Bhairava, who also composed music for Colour Photo, has been signed as the music director for Mowgli. The cinematography will be handled by Rama Maruti M, who has worked on films like the Baahubali franchise and RRR. Pavankalyan is the editor. More details about the film’s primary cast are yet to be announced.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, Mowgli is tentatively scheduled for a summer 2025 release.
