On Tuesday, the makers of Swag, the upcoming comedy-drama written and directed by Hasith Goli, announced the film’s release date in a hysterical manner. The team released a video with Sree Vishnu and Ritu Varma arguing about inviting men or women to the film that is set to hit the screens on October 4. The madcaper has raised expectations among cinephiles with the hilarious teaser that was released a few days ago.
Swag has Sree Vishnu appearing in quadruple roles of Singa, Bhavabhuti, Yayathi and King Bhavabhuti. The teaser for the film showed the film revolving around the changing gender dynamics with a glimpse into a fictional past where matriarchy ruled and the shift to wacky characters like Bhavabhuti, who is shown as a woman-hater.
Swag is touted as a ‘Never-before-seen entertainer’ by the production unit. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, the film also stars Ritu Varma, Meera Jasmine, Daksha Nagarkar, Saranya Pradeep, Sunil, Ravi Babu and more. The film has quirky music by Vivek Sagar, which is another reason for the high anticipation of the film. The previous outing of the duo actor Sree Vishnu and director Hasith Goli, Raja Raja Chora (2021), impressed audiences for its new-age screenplay and unique storytelling.
