September 2 marks actor and politician Pawan Kalyan's 56th birthday. Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, and other celebs and fans sent their best wishes for the celebration.
With the film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi (1996), Kalyan made his acting debut. Following that, he experienced a run of six straight successes, four of which went on to become back-to-back blockbusters: Kushi (2001), Badri (2000), Thammudu (1999), and Tholi Prema (1998). Kalyan gained enormous popularity and became a young icon because of these relatable films. He established a distinct style for himself from his elder brother, Chiranjeevi who has one of the highest impacts on the Telugu cinema landscape. Later in 2014, Pawan Kalyan founded the “Jana Sena Party” and contested in Andhra Pradesh elections of 2019 and 2024. He won 21 out of 21 seats in the 2024 elections marking a landslide victory which made him the Deputy Chief Minister of AP.
Celebrating his birthday, his elder brother and actor Chiranjeevi took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “You have a birthday every year, Kalyan Babu. However, this birthday is truly unique. At a time when the people of Andhra desired an ideal leader to make significant improvements in their lives, you arrived as their family's eldest child. As a leader who embodies morality, integrity, steadiness, and political dedication, they welcomed you into their life and gave you a spot in their hearts. These days, we need someone to lead like you. It is necessary for miracles to occur. I believe in you alone, and so do all the people of Andhra. Happy Birthday”
Actor Ram Charan, nephew of Pawan Kalyan, also penned, “Happiest Birthday to our Power Star Pawan Kalyan garu! Your strength, dedication, and compassion for those in need have always inspired me and many others too I am sure. May God continue to guide and bless and give you more strength.”
