The trailer for Dulquer Salmaan’s highly anticipated financial thriller Lucky Bhaskar was unveiled on Monday, offering a glimpse into a gripping narrative set in the 1980s. Dulquer Salmaan plays Bhaskar, a man willing to risk everything for his family, but his gamble with the financial world soon exacts a heavy moral and emotional toll. The film appears to blend dramatic intensity with a cheeky self-awareness. Meenakshi Chaudhary co-stars as Sumathi, Bhaskar’s loving yet skeptical wife.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film also features an intriguing narrative element: Bhaskar frequently breaks the fourth wall, engaging directly with the audience. Atluri revealed recently that this storytelling technique draws inspiration from Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). The director, known for previous hits such as Vaathi (2023) with Dhanush and Rang De (2021) starring Nithiin, described Lucky Bhaskar as a bold departure into a new genre.

Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is presented by Srikara Studios. Lucky Bhaskar is set for a pan-Indian release on October 31, arriving in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada.

The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, production designer Banglan, and music composer GV Prakash, whose score is expected to pair well with the film’s tense financial drama.
