Dr Gurava Reddy about Chiranjeevi’s Tagore: Whoever wrote that scene has greatly harmed the medical field

Dr A V Gurava Reddy made strong remarks on a famous scene from the Chiranjeevi-starrer Tagore. The reputed doctor said, “Whoever wrote that scene has greatly harmed the medical field. It is one of the worst scenes ever created in cinema by VV Vinayak”

Dr Reddy further revealed that he had personally discussed the incident with Chiranjeevi, emphasising its negative impact on the medical community. "Chiranjeevi Garu is one of my friends. I've been a visitor at his residence several times. I told him that the episode from Tagore had damaged our peace of mind. "The scene was much worse, but Chiranjeevi garu toned it down," he further said. 

Tagore is a 2003 social revenge drama directed by VV Vinayak which is a remake of the 2002 hit Tamil film, Ramana starring Vijayakanth. The film revolves around Chiranjeevi’s character Tagore who becomes a vigilante hero who launches a tirade against corrupt and broken government systems.

In the specific scene referred to by the doctor, Tagore criticises the medical community for medical malpractices, cheating the public and committing fraud in the name of treatment. The doctor’s remarks sparked widespread discussion on social media. Industry related figures are yet to react to the comment.
